Flying Modes

Anyone knows what are the components the Arducopter uses for Alt Hold? Barometer or Sonar? Or Sonar is used just too improve the distance reading? Basically what are the components and configuration needed for all the other modes? Thanks!

    Sonar is only available when below something like 10 feet. If you enable it, the altitude will be mixed below that threshold and pure sonar below the lower threshold.
