I am new to the 3DR operating system and learning the hard and expensive way. I have set the Pixhawk up on My Turnigy Talon Hexacopter. After setting everything up I took my hex for its first flight. Right from the start the my Hex was totally unstable and uncontrollable. After a few crashes I am now purchasing new motors to replace the ones I damaged. So now I am going back and looking at how I set up my hardware. I notice that when I select the frame type there is the box that says default:
After selecting the Hex Y configuration do I have to change anything in this box. I have gone thru the install directions but cannot find anything about changing this setting.

I've had the same issue and have just solved it.
recalibrate your ESC. You need to start the process and disconnect from the computer to finish it off.

I have just built up my own Hexacopter and using the Pixhawk and had the same issue.
Have you had any luck solving this yet? I'm still at a lost.
