With APM 2.0 Beta out, or just in general, wondering, if the FrSKY ACCST telemetry add-on module can be used as one of the two links of a  two-way telemetry set up, where the other link used is an XBEE pair?

From the website:

"The Two-way Radio System developed by FrSky provides an additional return link that would be used for monitoring the Rx’s voltage, temperature, location, speed and so on."

  • Is there any more info out there about this?  I'm just setting up my APM with my FrSky reciever, and looked at that serial port and thought Hmmmm....  But I'm not near smart enough to figure out the programming myself.

  • I'm working on implement frsky protocol for mavlink downlink. I did that with my own autopilot, refresh is low but it is useful. I update position 1hz (gearth can't show more) + attitude and hud 10hz no problem.

actual problem is to check compatibility of apm with newsoftserial library and find a pin to output data, completely independent from usual telemetry port. Code is ready.

what is an useful pin to output data? please help, no knowledge of the in mapping here.

  • I have these connected to my frsky and velcroed to the front of the radio. works great!

Its a great quick view at rssi and battery voltages.
