Hello, there is a not too long to go road you have, first of all, you will need a specific programmer for your transmitter, like USBasp, other AVR programmers will work too, If you have an Arduino you can use it as a programmer, then you will need to choose from variety firmwares, I suggest you to choose OpenTX which i found more newbie friendly.
