Hello I'm trying to get the Geo tagging feature setup on the APM. I have the apm 2.6 with the most current firmware on my aircraft.
My question is with the cables. I have two different guides that I'm not sure which one to follow.
Here are the links.
This one tells me that I need a special cable from a website with a added LED trigger inside of it.

This one simply just shows a mini usb soldered to a servo wire. Then plugged into the APM.

What is the cable that is actually needed to go into the APM so that I can do the Geo tagging and have the pictures taken automatically.

Hello,
i actually have a pixhawk and i just wonder what is the 5v led switch found in some usb cable tutorial for ?
a 5v step up, ok i catch the reason but why a 5 led switch would be needed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ScdnfRHhD5w)
Thanks.
For an APM 2.6 you can just crimp / solder a servo connector onto a mini usb cable for your camera. red goes to signal, and black goes to gnd, no connection to the 5v rail.
For a pixhawk you need to do more as the pixhawk only outputs 3.3v which is not enough for chdk to see.
