Getting started with video transmission

Hi all,

I'm looking to get started with video transmission, but I don't know where to start learning about it. Can you guys post some resources to help me learn please?

I'm going to be using either 2.4Ghz, or 1.3Ghz, and I expect my max range to be line of sight, and at most, 1km.

I found the fpv section on regroups.com to be useful. There's some great sticky threads there for newbies
