I would like to hear others oppinions upon gimbal's
I'm planning on building a octocopter for proffessional use but have next to nothing when it comes to experience on this topic (building aswell as flying ... but plenty within the filming buisiness) !
what I'm looking for more specifically is which kind of gimbal setup is the most stabil and efficient.
hope to hear from all of you soon.
kind regards Jakob

I went thry a LOT of gimbals...almost all of them, I finally settled for this one.....rock solid performance and no infinite settings to have to adjust and deal with all the time...thats assuming you are looking for a GoPro type gimbal
you definitely want a 3-axis setup...I used a GoPro Hero4 Black...with 60FPS at 2.7K rez is fantastic for me...but am not a pro, just do it for fun

Dear Jakob,
that is a good requirment. For the gimbal, many customers don't know how to setup it.
But please don't worry. Maybe you could consider this our products as the below:

Maybe it could save more your time to establish it.
Meantime, you need to consider which camera you are using.
It is up to the gimbal's payload.
Any question or other requirment, please let me know.

First of all thanks for replying and then secondly … I know :-)
I know it's best to start "cheap" and the build from there, and lets say I do that then, would there be a specific "off the rack" starter setup/kit 'copter you could recommended for the use with a GoPro (but preferably with my canon 5d) so I could get in to it.
If so what I would like would be something in the cheaper end, but as close as possible to the professional versions in terms of controls etc.
Once again thank you
Kind regards jakob
Jakob,
there is long and difficult way ahead of you :)
Shortly - building and flying octocopter (with camera onboard) is very VERY different from what you have been used to in filming business. It requires very different set of skills and knowledge.. Imagine someone came to you and said - "Hey Jakob, I want to buy videocamera and for professional use. But honestly, I don't have any experience in this topic"
What would be your answer? If you are a salesman you'd probably sell him some camera, but if you truly care about people you'd probably tell him to start learning about filming before buying any good and expensive camera, right? Same here - you have to learn a lot before going and "buying" (or building") something (that apart from learning to fly it).
Your question sounds a little bit like "I want to make a movie, tell me which camera will do it best for me" :)
thx,
jk
