Gimbal & Helicopters

Has anyone had any luck with integrating a gimbal into APM2.5? I see some with multi rotors but nothing for helicopters. I would like to control the gimbal with a joystick and not use any of inputs from a receiver.

I have been playing around with A11 A10 and some other outputs but not having any luck. Also the joystick only shows 8 channels when you would think that the APM has more because of A11, A10 ect....

    Pretty sure this is possible and you're just missing something.  Sorry I can't help more, but keep looking.  And please let me know if you get it working as I want to do this as well.

    Did you do the solder jumpers on the bottom of the board to enable the Ch 10 and 11 outputs?  Those pins can be selected as either analog inputs, or PWM outputs, and you have to solder jumper them in the right place.  Just look on the bottom.  Then there will be some settings in the MP you have to do.
