GlobalHawk UAV w/70mm EDF Kit

Hello everyone,

so i have been looking at testing the waters with an Uav and I have always liked the Predator airframe.

i have found this on the net it seems slightly better.

also can anybody shed light on a suitable airframe to do something like WASP (the war flying drone) ?

  • Ducted fans are really inefficient.

    Go prop, and use the biggest prop possible (lowest rpms.

    The hobbyking global hawk is a foamy. It is a disposable experiment, but not as reliable as a builtup plane.

  • The discovery is very good as a first plane. Another good choice is the hobby king bixler ( cheap and easy to fly) or the Parkzone supercub is also very good and super easy to fly
  • Danny, if this is your first foray into this field, I suggest to stick to proven airframes.

    Myself, I'm using a ST Models Discovery, and it flies very well, with minimal changes to the the standard code.

    I only changed the speed settings, and a little bit of roll settings.

    Look at this, it was done using the Discovery, not by me though :-(
