Howdy All,

It seems we are not using the “good” data in the google earth flight path or geotagging process. As you can see in the screenshot below, “relative_alt global_position_int_t-R” provides excellent altitude data (better than 1m accuracy). Unfortunately we seem to be using “alt global_postion_int_t” (the green line), which is very inaccurate (~5m) and seems to be the only output we are able to get in mission planner.

I have tried the "AMSL Alt checkbox" and changing the "GPS message offsets" in the geotagging tool to no avail, and I am not aware of any way to choose the altitude data source with the kml export.

I welcome anyone’s input on either use of the tool or possibly poking around in the code to see if there is some obvious reason it does not allow us to export flight paths or geotag with the “good” data.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Edit: I should add I am running a pixhawk AC 3.2, though this issue was present in AC 3.15 as well.
