I have done it. It looks like i have broken my Pixhawks GPS socket. Or it might have bin defect out of the box. I do not see any damage to the socket itself. I have measured the pinout voltage and it gives me only 0.3v while all other serial ports give 5v like they should. The gps module gets no power and when i feed it from another  5v source it works, gets a lock but no data is transmitted to the pixhawk. So it seems serial  1 is gone. I am from Belgium  so returning my pixhawk is not an option with the current export restrictions.

Now, my question, is there a way i could use serial telemetry port 1 or 2 to plug in my GPS an so bypass the defective port?

Any feedback would be very welcome.
