Got ELECTRONICS ! some questions...

So i've soldered the electronics (APM+IMU off DIYDRONES)

ive uploaded the RC2 code,

enabled the magnetometer in the code,

used CLI for the offsets, all works,

ArduCopter - Current settings
-----------------------------
Firmware: 1.54

Magnetom. offsets (x,y,z): -42.50, -23.50, -160.50
Accel offsets (x,y,z): 2016, 2044, 2061
Min Throttle: 0
Magnetometer 1-ena/0-dis: 1
Camera mode: 0
Flight orientation: + mode

I've seen someone using the terminal prompt to show different readings of gyros, accelerometers, GPS etc... but it's not the CLI menu, it was some setup thing - how do i get there ?

also,

what is the DIP switches roles ?

i got the board with

1=up, 2=dwn, 3=dwn, 4=up.

then i've read in the wiki that #1 is for flight mode, so i put it down and it's + flight mode now.

what 2,3,4 switches do ?

what more tests and checking can i do until i get my frame and motors ?

i'd like to check all reading, GPS, magneto, etc... to see that all's working....

thanks !

  • OK,
i put the GPS module out of the window and its blue led stopped blinking - it's constantly ON.

the serial monitor sending S in flight mode still dont return the GPS position...
i guess these are the long number at the end - 0.0000 ?

  • DIP switches are not all implemented yet, don't bother with the ones not described

you get those sensor readings when you connect APM in non-CLI mode and send S in serial monitor
