Hi folks,Had a few flights with APM recently, results werent good because there was a tendency for the plane to constantly lose altitude.I suspect that the problem might lie with the pressure sensor. I did a few tests with the baro sensor. While statipnary, the alt fluctuations can go as high as plus minus 5m.Also, i tested the sensor on a moving vehicle. Turns out that when the sensor is subjected to acceleration in x direction, the alt reading increases. Likewise the alt reading drops when the vheicle is decelerating. Is this normal? Is my baro sensor faulty? Also, which is morr accurate for alt? Gps or baro? Thanks!

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I'm seeing barometer drift as well. Except I'm seeing it in Loiter on a quad. It will lose around 0.5m per minute. Position hold is accurate, and vibes are extremely low. I'm using APM2.5+, on 2.9.1.
Without logs, we really can't give you much useful advice. But it's much more likely that you need to turn up your PID gains (Alt is mostly controlled by throttle). If your baro sensor is exposed to airflow, you should also cover it as shown in the manual.

Keen to hear what causes this.
