GPS only through 3DR Radio?

All I want to do is feed GPS data to my ground station. I have the 3DR Telemetry Kit and the MediaTek 3329 GPS. The GPS is set to output binary protocol.

I have the radios talking and have the GPS wired directly into the air radio. Should I be able to view my GPS feed in APM Planner? I can see my 3DR radio settings in APM P under the 3DR tab / load settings. However, I am unable to connect through Flight Planner. I have the correct COM port selected, baud set to 57600 but no luck.

Thanks for any help

  • I think the flight planner has to have an autopilot board to work. You could probably do it with APRS tracking software instead. (Amateur packet radio). Try downloading some other software and see if it receives the packets.
