Hi everyone,
I was checking my APM on my plane and I've instaled the last version of the software from the APM Mission Planner. After 1hr of take my AP at completely out of my house, with no anything between the GPS and the sky, I can't get the GPS fix status on my AP.
I have the u-blox 5h GPS module. I've checked the connection between the AP and the GPS module, but the GPS don't works. In addition I was tested the GPS with other APM board, and i have the same result, the GPS NO FIX.
For these reason I thing tthat the problem are in the GPS and not in the AP board.
So there are any way to test if my GPS works well with the AP, or Can I test my u-blox GPS receiver with the u-blox center with my AP?
thanks,
Mauricio

Hi. I just fixed up my u-Blox GPX because of fix issues. The issues came up after a bad landing that dinked the u-Blox antenna. After flashing and resetting the GPS with uCenter... I eventually found out that my helical antenna was loose. All I had to do was to reflow the antenna and ground wires. But it's a chore to remove that hard glue, epoxy that attaches the main antenna board to the antenna.
I would recommend trying to test your Ublox via Ucenter, and maybe you should also try updating the firmware on your Ublox before tying again to get a lock with your Ardupilot Mega Kit
Also you might want to try the AssistNow Offline on u-center as it downloads satellite information for 14 days which might the speed up the sattelite lock
