Grounding Xbee

Did someone had problem with Xbee 900Mhz regarding grounding?

My Xbee 900Mhz is producing some king interference in the values produced by airspeed sensors and altitude.

However when I touch the Airplane Xbee antenna, the sensor reading values are perfect.

By touching the antenna with the tip a large screwdriver (rubber grip) alows the sensor to have a good reading too.

I already did these tests:

Xbee 900mhz module whip Antenna

Xbee 900mhz module Omni Antenna

Adafruit Extremebee board

2 dronestore ExtremmeBee board

small 15 cm Xbee cable

long 40 cm Xbee cable (Xbee far away about 40 cm)

Xbee firmware already updated

Autopilot is Aurdupilot Mega last version with the ArduPlane 2.24 firmware.

Please, do you have some advice?

To me, this does not sound like a grounding issue/solution. It sounds like you are improving the antenna performance. The question is why is the performance so poor with the wire antenna by itself? You should get at least a kilometer of usable signal with the wire on one side and the 3-4 dBi omni antenna on the other...

Did you change the length of the antenna? It is "just a wire" but the length is very important.

Is the antenna bent (should not matter this close anyways) or maybe it has a poor solder joint?

Maybe the antenna is broken inside? And physically touching it helps to make a better connection?

There are things I do not understand here, so I hope someone else has a better idea.
