Gyro wont initiate

Looks like ACM2 (and ACM1) isn't able to initiate the gyro. The red and green LED's keeps flashing and the output is a continues stream of asterix'. In Mission Planner I eventually get a packet/crc error and it times out.

Setup in CLI and Mission Planner works, but I'm not able to read the sensor data or configure the PID's.

Am I doing something wrong here or do I have a defect gyro?

  • Hi, recently I faced a trouble regarding to the Gyro testing in the CLI tab menue.

First of all, although I can clearly see the yaw, pitch and roll values getting changed precisely in the flight data tab menu but I cannot test the Gyro from the CLI test mode. The reason is the gyro command is gone form the test list.

Please look at the beow commands.

    Opened com port

    Init ArduPlane V2.31

    Free RAM: 4215

    Entering interactive setup mode...

If using the Arduino Serial Monitor, ensure Line Ending is set to Carriage Return.

Type 'help' to list commands, 'exit' to leave a submenu.

Visit the 'setup' menu for first-time configuration.

Move the slide switch and reset to FLY.

as u can see there is no gyro command in the test mode I have dowloaded the latest version of the APM planner 1.1.63.

I have't had this issue before. It looks a sofware issue or..? why the gyro command is missing from the test list?

I would be glad if someone would help me with these two issues

    Thanks

Try loading the APM 2 code, which is out of beta and solid, and running the tests in that CLI. If the gyro is still failing, contact the customer support from the store you got the board from and arrange for a return/replacement.
