I am starting with a UAV/FPV project and after spending a lot of time reading my choice is clear (or not)
I am planing to use the ardupilot-mega with all the recomended hardware in the homepage.
As Chris Anderson suggested I will use a Skywalker. Now the doubts :)
- if I want to add video and I am using the xbee at 900mhz what video tx/rx do you recomend ?
- Can i add OSD to the video ? I want to do UAV wih FPV support
- what distance can we expect to fly with full telemetry and video ? can we arrive at 8-10 km ?
- The suggested hardware speaks about xbee for telemetry, Is there a soft to read the telemetry
in the station ? or a simple rs232 terminal will do the job ?
-I need to change my transmitter and I have in mind the Hitec Auror 9 or Futaba 8FG, do you think any of them is better , any other suggestion for my need ? is it possible to change the transmitter/antenna with any of them ?
I know, I know, these are a lot of questions, but don't worry: I have many more ;-)
Thank your answers.

About OSD, sure if you have video TX that accepts normal PAL/NTSC video signal. Most OSD hardwares just plugs in to your video signal and includes that OSD screen on top of normal video picture. That's what OSD is. It's then again totally different story what you your OSD to display :)
Dragonlink
EzUHF
TSLRS
Lawmate or ImmersionRC video transmitters are great :)
