Hi i am a newbie at software and codding, i want to design a hardware in the loop system for a uav.
I want to fly on a test bench getting dynamics from xplane then run the controll algorithims from simulink using arduino. I have seen APM planner is it adavicable to use for this for those who have used it? i will be using arduino, arduino mega 256, teensyuno and i might purchase an ardupilot.
any advice, suggestions and contributions?

please buy a apm, as there are things like ppm encoder/mux's, and it will be easier for you in the long run
