Over a year ago, Bill Premerlani published a paper describing a method of automatically and continuously determining magnetometer offsets when the aircraft is in motion. I don't think anyone has. I am no longer supporting the ArduIMU code as I am way to busy supporting APM.
I did add auto mag offset nulling to the APM library, so if you want it should be fairly simple to follow what I did and add that to your ArduIMU code.
