Hello,
I'm considering purchasing this http://www.amazon.com/ArduPilot-Arduino-Compatible-Controller-ATMega328/dp/B004G4XVRA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1388026601&sr=8-1&keywords=ardupilot. I only want the quadcopter to hover at a predetermined altitude while an Arduino collects data from sensors.
Here's the twist. I want to provide GPS data to both the ArduPilot and Arduino. Is this even possible?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'd like to know if it's possible with the APM 1 platform.
Regards,
Steve

Do you mean have 2 Ardupilots on your copter? I think that board needs infrared sensors and a gps to work. I believe you can connect one gps to two Ardupilots. You might want to look at the Ardupilot Mega boards that have an oilpan or all the sensors for as little as $79. You might be able to add some code to the firmware and collect the data from one Ardupilot.
