Heading lock ? (yaw hold)

Hi,

During my last flight I remember that the arducopter kept on yaw-ing randomly (not strong yaw), it was a windy day...

It yawed both in GPS hold and in non-GPS hold modes.

should it do that ?

is there any way or mode in which it keeps the heading fixed ? shouldn't the magneto do that ?

yes, it's enabled and calibrated.

Thanks !

  • yaw should be fixed (even without magneto)

check if your yaw channel gives 1500, trim if necessary

check if your magnetometer works correct (tie your quad down with props mounted, connect to configurator and give throttle like you are hoovering, check if heading changes (it shouldn't))

if it changes, change you wiring
