Hi everyone! I previously worked on a project that involved having the computer control a RC helicopter via the endurance PCTx. I wanna start another one with similar setup but a bigger plane. My last plane was the esky coco lama v3, which could not carry much weight, so I'm hoping to use something that's the same size class as the esky big lama. One issue that I ran into last time was that the PCTx could not talk to the 2.4GHz coco lama v3 potentially due to Esky's spread spectrum tech on the 2.4GHz receiver/transmitters. I then switched to a 72MHz T/R pair and it worked quite well.
With that in mind, does anyone recommend any reasonably large RC helicopters, preferably coaxial, that can work with the PCTx?
Thanks!

Kelvin,
I have several of the PCTxs and they are quite picky about what transmitters they will work with. It will not work with my Futaba 6EX or my Spektrum DX5e. However, it does work with my other Spektrum transmitters. It will work with Hitec transmitters also.
Since the PCTx uses the tranmitter buddy box port, the PPM signal must conform to the tranmitter manufacturer's requirements. Some manufacturers use a positive going PPM signal while others use a negative going signal. The output of the PCTx can be amplified and inverted when necessary with either a PNP or NPN transistor and appropriate current limiting resistors. I have one PCTx working with a Spektrum DM8 module.
