Help! Apm 2.6 servos not moving

Hey
Just recently got an apm 2.6 for my bix3. My trouble is that when try to move a control surface I only get slight humming at full extent of my controls but otherwise no movement. Any help would be useful as I am a newbie to the apm platform.
Thanks

  • Hi Bret:

Did you solved the problem? if not, you can check the stall_prevention param, check the link http://ardupilot.org/plane/docs/fixed-wing-faq.html

    Hi David,

Here is a statement that is on the ArduPlane Wiki:

"The APM2.6 board is no longer supported for Copter or Plane. The last firmware builds that fit on this board are Copter 3.2.1 and Plane 3.3.0."

  • How are you powering the servo rail?

    Regards,

    David R. Boulanger

    • Sorry not quite sure sure how this would be done.

      Thanks

      • Do you Have a BEC plugged into one of the servo outputs?

        Regards,

        David R. Boulanger

        • i have no bec i assumed the power would come from the power module bought with the package? Or I expected the power to come through the esc.

          Thanks again

          • The power does not come from the power module.  Driving servos would cause a brown out.  So your ESC has a built in BEC?

            • Yes it does 5v/3A bec

              • I guess my next question would be are you arming the system by holding the left stick down and to the right until armed.  What firmware are you using?

                Regards,

                David R. Boulanger

                • 1. No am using the computer to arm and disarm right now.

                  2. The firmware i am using is v3.5.0

Also when armed there is no output in throttle.

                  Bret
