Help with airspeed

Hi all.  So I am building my first APM system, and I am unclear on how airspeed is measured. All of the pages where the APM is sold say something like "AirSpeed sensor port (optional, sold separately)" in the product description.  What airspeed sensor should I be using, where do I hook it up?

(On a related note, are the temperature and absolute pressure sensors just integrated onto the board?)

 Thanks in advance

    I bought this,

    Which has this sensor,

Does anyone know: Since this is for a APMega w/Oilpan, will I be ok with the MPXV5004DP, or should I get the MPXV7002DP?

  • Excellent, thank you. I will look forward to the new software version ( while I try to get the current version running! :) ) Any idea when that new version will be ready for prime time?

We'll be adding airspeed support in one of the next versions of the software. You connect the sensor on the pins marked "pitot".

The absolute pressure and temp sensor is integrated on the board. You can see all the details on the product listing.
