Help with HIL with X Plane 9/10

I'm trying to get HIL working in X Plane 10 (or 9 if it's not possible in 10). From all the instructions I've found, I need to download a special version of arduino (22 with a relaxpatch). I've done that (download from the *deprecated* section of ardupilot-mega's google code site).

Every time I try and compile, I get a missing file error, regardless of where I place the library files.

Does anyone have a setup guide for a current configuration?

You do not need Arduino at all. The reflex patch version isn't needed any more, just use 1.0.1 and up. But forget about Arduino entirely. In Mission Planner, there is a section of firmware on the bottom left, "Simulation". Select the plane or quad simulation firmware, push that to your APM. Get those working first, then if you have custom firmware which you need to load, once the stock HiL firmware is working, I'll help you upload your custom stuff.

I'd suggest trying the HIL in Flightgear, it's a smaller download and works pretty well. I know it works as I tested it myself and have corrected the Wiki. As far as I know nothing currently needs that special version of Arduino, it was just used until the new version came out because Ardupilot was so big and complex.
