HobbyKing Sky Arrow - Possible Winner?

Hi Community,

Getting interested in UAVs down here in kiwi-land.

Thanks for the range of resources everybody! Have had a great look around and was just wondering on which was the best FPV/UAV platform.

All the pages point to products that are not manufactured anymore, or just not readily perfect for what we are after....

So me and a mate had a big hunt around the other night, and the three I have narrowed it down to are:

1)  The HobbyKing Sky Arrow << Which I found an alternative to a DIYD. blog post I found last night, can't find it to save myself :(
2)  The MPX Easy Star (as most of you would know of)
3)  The MPX Twin Star

Our requirements are moderate to slowish flier, good FPV platform and something with a little payload for a UAV system, which we are building as a sci tech project (probably heard that a million gazillion times too!!) (and Chris, try to refrain from saying "buy such and such, don't reinvent the wheel.."... =P )

It really becomes the battle between foam and Nylon.  Personally I reckon the Sky Arrow would be the best, due to the tryc carriage, high wing, pusher, non v-tail, because I am a bit of a pilot, so have actual flight experience in our mob. My mate reckons the Easy Star due to its ability to lift a bit of payload.

My thoughts are that the Easy Star only has that true heavy lift capability because it features a pusher deltawing with a powerful motor enabling it to fly quite hard and fast.

Wondering what peoples personal experience with flying these planes, or something similar as used for a UAV platform?  Any positives or negetives with these planes?  Any favourites out there?

Thanks for the read!
