How Current is Traditional Documentation

Before I begin my "new" journey to install an APM/Pikhawk (Have not decided yet) on a VWinRC450 heli, I was just wondering if anyone could give an "update" on the status of the information presented here:

Is it current and up to date, or are there things that require editing?  For example, I noticed that in the configuration screen, it talks about an error in Mission Planner regarding RSP (Rotor Speed Control): "Note the following error on Mission Planner: Mode 1 is a direct pass through of the throttle input signal and Mode 2 is for an ESC with built in governor. MP asks you for the “Mode 1 Setpoint” This is a typo and it should ask for the “Mode 2 Setpoint”. Please test with caution. Hopefully this will be rectified in the next release."  Does this still apply...it is things like this that I am wondering about and might lead to confusion.  My biggest concern is with the tuning...how "up to date" is the turning procedure described?

    Jim,

Rob Lefebvre is probably the best one to answer.  I think that the basic set-up should still be the same as what's in the documentation.  I reviewed the docs a couple of months ago and I think they're reasonable.
