When I look at the tlog I see totally different maunders for the 3DR radio rssi than I see on the MP playback display. What’s the conversion formula to convert from mavlink rssi to percent? Most missions I see between 60 and 170 in the log but mostly 97-99% on the MP display?.

Maybe you also need noise amount to calculate signal strength percent. Just guessing.
