Been doing some investigation on my motors to trace a yaw problem (before I blame 3.0.1).I notice that some motors run rougher than others when propless. Now this quad has fallen over a couple of times on landing but not crashed on the motors. So I was wondering - how long do motors last, and how easy is it to damage a motor?It's notable that the newest motor is the smoothest.These are tmotor 3508-29's (380kv).And the follow on question - when should bearings be replaced? How bad does it need to be before it affects flight?

I've got RC brushless motors that are more than 10 years old with the original bearings, others sound a bit rough after a few flights. The cheaper motors do that, but T-Motors are generally not that cheap so although I don't own any I would expect it from them so early on. Sometimes dirt or worse, tiny bits of iron, can get inside the motor bell and make a noise especially during a crash, a warped/crashed bell too also can make noise either through vibration or chafing. Depending where you get them (the bearings or the motors), two bearings can cost more than the motor.
