I found this accidentally while messing around with the Mission Planner.

I thought that my baro was well covered but it appears it's not.

Open MP, connect to your APM via telemetry or USB and then navigate to the Config/Tuning tab and click on Planner, then find Start/Stop Vario near the bottom, click on it to start the vario:

Place your craft in bright sunlight, the vario should beep when you move the craft and change it's altitude.

Now quickly cover the APM with something that blocks out the sun completely, the darker the shadow the better, if the vario beeps then your baro is being affected by light, if not, then you're good.
