Hi all,
I have a number of 3DR Solos, one equipped with a rededge-m, that i use for forest surveys. I'm interested in getting my feet wet with fixed wings for larger areas. I'm wondering if someone could point me to some good resources to get started?
thanks,
alex

Thanks for the information.
Thanks Andreas,
That's helpful. Now I'm searching around for a kit that comes with everything, but that I would put together (simpler for a first project than going out and spec'ing out all the parts myself, but more fun and instructive than buying an RTF). Skywalker frames seem to be a good way to go for a number of reasons. Anyone have pointers to such a kit available for purchase? I'm not finding any with my searches... perhaps looking in all the wrong places...
Thanks,
Alex

Hey Alex,
My friend and I are new to this whole drone thing and we would love if you told us about any problems with DIY drones that you might have! We'd really appreciate it.

Here is everything you need:

and here is a step by step example to get you started:

I'm thinking of this crazy idea of a glider towed up by drones. If it works it would have all the advantages of fixed wing and quad.
