I just finished my quad and gimbal build (some pics of the quad can be found here http://fotoni.org/ilmasta/quad/quadcopter/ and pics of the gimbal here http://fotoni.org/ilmasta/quad/kamerateline/). It works OK but... Every time I connect the battery to my quad the camera gimbal springs to mid-tilt position. That means the camera points 45 degrees down. That's a huge problem since my camera gimbal hangs very near ground and my camera has a bit long lens. The lens hits the ground immediately and tries to dig in... that's not good! As soon as APM has finished its booting up sequence the tilt servo goes to the position I have commanded it to from the radio.
Is there a way to tell APM not to drive the tilt servo to center while booting up? I would like to either stop the servo from moving during boot up all together OR command it to fully one side (camera fully up).
Any suggestions?

How about a power-switch on the tilt servo, so you can turn it on, after the APM has finished booting!
