How to use Qgroundcontrol

Hello Everybody,

I'm trying to understand how to install, and make Qgroundcontrol working. I am completely confused and lost when I try to follow the indications I found either here or on Qgroundcontrol website. And I do need some serious help there....

Anyway, I'm working with OSX Snow Leopard. And so far here are the steps I followed:

I downloaded and installed the latest version of Qgroundcontrol., then tried to understand how you install Mavlink, here starts my problems: I have no idea how to do so...

I downloaded this: mavlink-1.0.1-Darwin.dmg  from here: https://github.com/mavlink/mavlink/downloads

(Was it necessary actually?) then I downloaded this: mavlink-latest.zip from the very same page.

Now my question is: what do I do with that?

Where can I find a step by step protocol I could follow?

Thanks in advance for all your help, I really appreciate.

Have a great day

Kind Regards

Alain

  • Alain,  Hello.  I too am confounded by the what's called "easy to use" QGroundControl program.

I have emailed the senior developer and asked for help or a contact who could help me.

I don't understand any of the protocol jargon and my Parrot Flight Recorder GPS thing works intermittantly.
