How to write messages from Pixhawk code to the outside world for debugging

Hi everyone,

I am frustrated in trying to get any kind of message out of my code with some sort of printf OR similar statement.  These would be temporary statements to be removed after debugging.

I heard that hal.console was part of a solution but could not get to work.

Any and all help would be very appreciated.

      Hi Bill,

      Thanks for your note.

      For your idea, can the USB cable be used?

      Also, is there any way we can write the messages to the output message found in Mission Planner.

      That's the one that appears when you check the box at the bottom of the Help screen.
