Hubsan Ready-to Run RC Models with FPV

I am interested to hear if anyone has tried any of the Hubsan Spy Hawk RC plane with camera or the Hubsan Invader RC Helicopter with FPV camera?

We just got them to our store and want to hear others opinions about them.

  • Yes I've got one

    My opinion:

Pros, Cheap for what you get, tx with fpv screen, brilliantly stable plane that is super simple to fly, even in maual mode - and yes it has stabilisation that works great. From box to air the hardest and longest thing is waiting for the battery to charge. Great fun. mines only touched the floor once, I can catch it pretty much every time. (it has made the odd journey into a tree or two, but the wings just popped out (undamaged) and i caught the bits before they touched down too - that was in 20mph winds though :)

Cons: limited range for RC and video (about 300m sensibly)

It's no acrobat, and low powered.

If you are out in anything more than 8mph winds prepare to just hover, nose into the wind, but it even does that quite well.

Conculsion, If you have £200, I can't think of an easier way to get into RC fixed wing flight and fpv. I've even been thinking about upgrading the rc and vid link on it, however i stopped short and have decided just to buy an X* instead, encouraged by my time with the spyhawk.
