I recently found out about a new drone positioning device that has come to market boasting accuracy down to the mm level without the need for GPS/GNSS. This technology is based upon beacon-tracking and is very interesting to those of us in need of increased geo-positioning tracking where satellite occlusion occurs often. Does anyone have any more information regarding this type of positioning? The stated maximum distance is 500m, and I assume this would require LoS to the beacons throughout the flight (sort of negating the benefits for my use), but the recent commercial release of this product leaves much information to be desired.

Interesting. There are lots of others using ultrasonic and ultrawideband tech (Marvelmind, Pozyx, Decawave, Yodel Labs) that do 10cm to 2cm precision but this is the first that I've seen that claims sub-cm
