I'm new here, but I would like to get some help for my Engineering Capstone Project. I'm designing a UAV (about a 7-8ft wing span) I'm working on sizing and the propulsion and stuff right now which is the main part of my design project. What I would like to know what autopilot would work the best that I can switch from autopilot to manual control? What radios will work the best? Cameras, that will give me a live feed on the ground? And how can I control all this without interference (I'm guessing that some of this will have to be on different frequencies)Again, the main purpose of my design project is the actual structure of the aircraft; I just need to know what and how to work the controls of the aircraft. Any help will be appreciated.Thank you,Toby

Have you flown an RC plane before? I would start there. Buy a simulator, etc or you'll crash what sounds like a very nice plane.
I have a Futaba 7C 2.4Ghz Fasst system. The new 8C systems are out now and I'm a bit jealous. I also use Xbee radios for telemetry and a 900mhz video system from RangeVideo.com. Not at the same time of course. There are other video options at different frequencies on the site. I have the 900 and don't plan switching.
The Ardupilot has the manual control switch you're looking for. Read the manual to get a better idea of what it can do.
Good luck.
