In that case you need the "APM1-tri", "APM2-tri", "PX4-tri" - depending on which APM board you are running.
Unfortunately you will have to do a bit of trawling to find the 3.1.5 stable version. Look at the "git-version.txt" in each folder for the version details.
Thank you sir I had found that but the tricopter hex is not labeled or im unsure how to read the file system not sure how its organized
I'm not too sure what you mean by "tricopter hex" - do you mean a "Y6" configuration?
Each dated folder in aforementioned link contains a date/time of the build and then the build configuration.
For example this folder: http://firmware.diydrones.com/Copter/2013-09/2013-09-06-12:09/PX4-y6/ contains the PX4 build for the Y6 copter, that was built on 6th September 2013. By looking at the "git-version.txt" it will tell you that it was the V3.1-dev version.
