Hi, I am new to this (pretty experienced with the Arduino though), and thinking of implementing a UAV based om the IKON A5 sea plane and ardupilot mega. Anyone has experience with this?
I am interested in, mainly, areal photography and would like to hook up telemetry as well. The cockpit seems to be spacious, would the adding of electronics there create an imbalance?
Cheers,
Andreas

Me too, lol. I am interested in seeing if it can handle autonomous take off and landings on water. Flite Test did a nice review of the plane. It looks to have a lot of room for telemetry gear and is also pretty water tight (at least according to the review). The reviewers do warn against tumping over during water take off and landing. I suppose modifying the wing tips with some sort of flotation device might suffice. Good luck!
