I recently purchased the GS407 with the adapter from DIYDRONES. As the Arduino Mega doesn't come with the EM406 connector, I decided to use the 4 breakout pins instead (Ground, VCC, TX and RX). I am trying to receive raw NMEA data from the GS407 but I am having some difficulties. I connected TX (from the GPS) to RX on the Arduino Mega (Pin 0), RX to TX (Pin 1) and I have connected the GS407 to a 5v power supply. I've tried using the TinyGPS for Arduino but it doesn't seem to work. Lastly, I am unsure of the default baud rate of the GS407 (are there any other settings that I need to know?) as I have not connected the chip with u-center (unfortunately I don't have the evaluation board or a RS232 level shifter). Am I on the right track? Any suggestions are much appreciated.
