Interference?

I own a Futaba 6EX which runs at 2.4GHz with its spread spectrum stuff. It claims to be tolerant of other 2.4GHz signals and so no need to worry about them. As I am in the UK and wish to have telemetry I have two options 900MHz (wire antenna out of stock) or 2.4GHz (cheaper than 900MHz).

Could I use the In Stock and Cheaper 2.4GHz XBee Pro without compromising my control signal (from the 2.4GHz tolerant 6EX)?

  • Thank you guys. Clarification from people I trust was important thats why I didn't just leave it at reading through rcgroups
  • The answer is simple - no. Tolerant means nothing will happen to RC controll in normally poluted by Wifi and other sources environment. But if you want to place relatively strong the source of 2.4 GHz signal near RC Rx 2.4 GHz - Xbee could jam RC Rx in some distance from RC Tx. It would be better to go with 868 or 900 MHz modems.
