I hosed things up when I soldered the cable to the beacon (three holes, two wires...) anyway, I was having trouble figuring out what was up until I tried my TV remote control as a beacon. It worked great, which was enough info to point me at a problem with the beacon.The other thing that helped was looking at the beacon and my TV remote through my Canon camera, thanks to whoever suggested that.Bob Bond
