Is my ESC not compatible?

I'm using a thunderbird 18 amp ESC with a dx6 with ar6000 receiver.

When I throttle down yaw right nothing happens.(i held it for more than 2 seconds) The esc goes into some sort of programing mode when i retry it. When I Yaw left then the back motor arms and when i release yaw to neutral, that motor turns on ( as if its directly controlled by the yaw channel) similar thing on the other channels the aileron and the elevator channels are directly controlling a motor.

i read in another thread that there could be a problem in the ppm encoder?

When i connected it to the executable configurator it the channels show normal behavior..

what could be wrong?

is it the ppm encoder or my Speed controller?

No, I'm sure its fine, what are you trying to use it for??

If you have it in a rudder channel, the stick being central to start with will stop it arming so holding it does not matter.

ESCs are made to arm with the throttle or channel closed.

So tell us what your trying to do.
  • du you have xbees?
