Issues with eflite ESC?

Has anyone had any issues with using an eflite brushed ESC? I have a 20amp one installed in my HobbyZone SuperCub LP and the APM constantly resets itself by power cycling. I also have issues with the APM freezing on the control surfaces for a second and then coming back. None of these issues are present when the APM is powered off the USB. I have also tried using my Castle 15amp ESC which works fine so I don't believe it is a PPM encoder issue on the APM.

    Good to know, I will check that. That explains why another esc works better. Now to find another brushed esc that is linear.

    dunno if it will help but I have similar issue and I suspect it is coming from a switch bec (not a linear one) that produces a lot of interference: I loggued an issue originally thinking it was the ppm encoder creating issue again.
