JP1 usage

Hello,

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I have only ESCs connected to the APM2 and I remove JP1 then I connect power to the ESCs then the AMP2 should not turn on.

JP1 stops the 5v power from the Output rail from powering the APM2. Therefore, if JP1 is removed and you supply power ONLY to the Output rail, it should not run on the APM2.

I am testing because I want to connect my APM2 with USB while the motors are powered because I am having ESC calibration issues and I wanted to do the Tx Configuration again.

There is no short in the solder for JP1. The board was soldered by Dany of CanadaDrones.

Thanks!!!

  • I got it figured out. I have the ESCs plugged into the A0-A4 not the Output ports. Oops.

JP1 does exactly what I wrote above.
