What hardware is necessary for return to home or return to launch functionality?I saw that the Range Video OSD didn't need the optional IR sensors to use the return to home function, so I was curious if the ArduPilot needed them. If I do need the the sensors for the ArduPilot, does anyone know where to get them? DIY Drones store always seems to be out, and Range Video expects more in mid-February. Any help would be appreciated :)

The IR sensors are used strictly for pitch/roll stabilization and have no affect on RTL. The RTL function is only affected by the accuracy and performance of the GPS that is feeding the Ardupilot when the R/C signal is lost. However, if you want your plane to be stable on the way back to the launch point, then you need stabilization if you are not in control of the plane.
