Following a fantastic year of flying my Bixler with APM 2.5 etc. and to celebrate my 50 years of model flying, I thought of making my KeilKraft Junior 60 into a drone. It is already electric powered with plenty of power and very stable. It will be rudder and elevator control only with throttle. It also has a good set of wheels. It would be great to see some touch and goes!. Not sure how well rudder only will work. Presumably connect rudder to rudder and set to 100%.
In the early years, we flew free flight around the field, controlled by clockwork driven cams on the rudder. Similar to the APM then !!!. In fact , this year, I have not had to wind the APM up once!
I do not wish to disturb the Bixler setup so will get another system. I also have the idea of flying the 2 planes together ( or 3 … forgot to mention the quad ).
Thank you to everyone who made all this possible.
Any thoughts or suggestions for this project would be great.
