Our new SAR rig "failed" one of the flight tests - the "extreme double dip" terrain-follow test, as the video diary entry shows. Admittedly, it's not the normal mission profile, but it's still performing less efficiently than expected.
Is there any way to increase the responsiveness of the LIDAR to terrain events? There seems to be at least a second of lag, and it's "smoothing" terrain changes too much. It's the blue label Lidar-lite unit.
