Hello drone hobbyists.
We owe it to the UAV community and ourselves to take part in the legal fight for drones. I think we should get involved in the legal battle. I am unaware of any drone lobby group.
If there was a drone lobby group, would you donate a substantial amount?
I am not advocating starting a lobbying group myself, as I am no lawyer. But perhaps there are lawyers who might become interested in the battle if there were funds for it.
I don't think it's fair that one individual should fight by himself. Drones need some good PR to counteract all the bad PR.
Some sound regulation is also needed to make commercial use of drones widely available (cheap license) but still deal with the reality that heavy drones are a liability, airspace will get crowded, and there are drones crash. It's a good mental exercise to build the legal framework for commercial drone pilots.
So what are your thoughts?
